Use of Heat Gun:

The best way to monitor bearings is to use a “Heat Gun” to record bearing housing temperatures.  We suggest once a week.   If the running temperature (after 3 hours operation) increases by even a few degrees, the bearing needs more grease or is failing mechanically.

Add some grease and check the temperature again after an hour of running time.  If the temperature goes back to normal, add some more grease and increase your greasing schedule.

Full instructions and a CD of how to use the Heat Gun will be sent to you with the gun.

Thank you for participating in this Survey.
