ROCKLABS December 2001...
CHRISTMAS AND NEW YEAR GREETINGS
TO YOU FROM ROCKLABS!
NEW ROCKLABS CATALOGUE
Our new catalogue illustrating the full range of ROCKLABS equipment
is now available.
The complete catalogue is on our website at www.rocklabs.com. Have you
checked our website recently?
The biggest growth sector at ROCKLABS has
been the manufacture of Mechanised Systems. However, we have
continued working with Research Institutes and Universities
to produce unique items of equipment such as the Bench Top
Ring Mill.
Our Standard Ring Mill and associated Heads of agate, carbon
steel, chrome steel, tungsten carbide, zirconia etc. continue
to be sought after by laboratories world-wide.
MECHANISED SYSTEMS
Can you continue using labour intensive equipment in your
laboratory when there is a better alternative readily available?
Can you ignore possible health hazards in the laboratory
from heavy lifting, dust inhalation , noise, etc?
Can you continue missing out on the many benefits of Mechanisation
such as cost saving, more representative samples etc. etc?
If you can, don't read the rest of this article, go to Reference
Materials.
We have received orders for three Mechanised Systems for
gold mines in North America.
Mechanised System No. 1 for
Gold Mine in Nevada.
The Rodeo System: Designed and built for Barrick Gold's
Rodeo Mine. This System can process underground samples up
to 50 kg in weight with lumps up to 150 mm (6 inch). Other
samples include drill core and any other mine sample from
1 to 50 kg.
Each sample is lifted up to a primary crusher and the output
is conveyed up to a Boyd Crusher for a second, fine crush.
The sample is then rotary split and a portion is pulverised
in a CRM.
Mechanised System No.
2 for another Gold Mine in Nevada.
The Cortez System: Designed for Placer Dome's Cortez Mine.
This System is for crushing and splitting large samples,
e.g. large drill core.
Each sample of 1 to 20 kg is weighed , to control the output
weight at a constant figure, regardless of the input weight.
There are two stages of crushing and then rotary splitting.
Samples will be pulverised in existing mills.
Mechanised System No.
3 for Gold Mine in Canada.
The Musselwhite Systems: Designed for another Placer Dome
property in Canada.
These Systems are for processing a variety of sample types. The process
includes weighing, crushing, splitting, pulverising.
CERTIFICATED REFERENCE
MATERIALS FOR GOLD ASSAYING
7 new values will be available from January 2002. Please
check this website regularly for the new values.
Reference Materials are now being used in 30 different countries.
Our aim has been to produce a high quality product that
is affordable enough to be used on an every batch basis.
The high quality of ROCKLABS Reference
Material is achieved through the use of appropriate raw materials,
a stringent homogeneity testing regime and the assignment
of values through the use of 20 or more well recognised laboratories
world-wide.
Remember the price of ROCKLABS Reference
Materials is related to the volume you purchase. If you would
like to start using them on an every batch basis, work out
how much you are likely to use over a year and then ask us
or your ROCKLABS Agent
for the "bulk supply" price.
For those of you who receive our newsletter by post please
accept our small gift of a desk calendar.
Best wishes for 2002.
