A Rocklabs Mechanised System is more complex than a Combo unit. Additional machines or devices are combined
so that the process of sample preparation can be carried out with a single operator and minimal supervision.
Operation is simple but only a single sample can be processed at a time.
The construction of Mechanised System is different to a combo unit. It is built in a tower layout, the sample
travels downwards from one machine to another. It has no automation so any changes of setting must be done
manually by the Operator.
Mechanised Systems are designed to reduce operator lifting and handling to a minimum. This reduces the labour
cost and human handling errors.
Mechanised Systems cost less than Automated Systems. They are easier to maintain, and the running costs are
lower. They are ideal for laboratories processing typically 100 to 300 samples per day.
A budget estimate for a Mechanised System would normally be in the range of USD50,000 – USD200,000.
