Mike Handley Analytical Services was created in 1999 by Mike Handley. We specialise in the maintenance, repair and calibration of X-ray analytical equipment. We also supply used X-ray spectrometers and diffractometers, and new sample preparation equipment and consumables for XRF analysis.

MSI was founded by the principals of FPSC who, for more than 15 years, have consulted and taught the principles of integrated Sampling, Statistical Process Control (SPC), Ore Grade Control, and Total Quality Management (TQM). Major discrepancies between mine estimates and estimates from plant metallurgical balances are a common problem in mines around the world. Many existing practices are based on protocols that often fall short of basic statistical requirements. Sampling equipment are often flawed by design and cannot provide the needed reliability for determining accurate ore grade and reserves.
